Sunday, July 24, 1983 — Fastway, Saxon, and Iron Maiden

My first ‘real’ concert; went with one of my best friends… who is still one of my best friends. Twenty-eight years later, I still remember it to this day.

Is it childish of me to still love Iron Maiden, some 28 years later? As Bruce Dickinson says, if that teenager is still alive in us somewhere, then we’re still alive. Do I look foolish when I get excited about this? It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

  1. Just for the record. Iron Maiden is a genre unto its own badass, rock the hell out, and tell an epic tale at the same time with duel guitar solo, best bassist in the world, crazy full gonzo drummer and the guy who can sing while inhaling, self.

    yeah…they’re pretty good.
